Employers with 100 or more employees, federal contractors with 50 or more employees, and a limited number of additional employers detailed on the EEOC website are required to file an EEO-1. The 2021 EEO-1 Component 1 data collection is tentatively scheduled to open on Tuesday, April 12, 2022. The tentative deadline to file the 2021 EEO-1 Component 1 Report is Tuesday, May 17, 2022.

EEO-1 Filing Period Is Now Open
The U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) launched its annual EEO-1 data collection process earlier this month. The mandatory data collection process requires all private-sector employers with 100 or more employees and federal contractors with 50 or more employees meeting certain criteria to submit demographic workforce data, including data by race/ethnicity, sex, and job categories.
