Grand Forks, North Dakota – December 4, 2019 – Aatrix, a provider of eFiling services for W2s, 1099s, 1095s (ACA), unemployment forms, new hire forms, wage withholding reports, and payments for all state and federal agencies, today announces the successful completion of their 2019 SOC 2 and SOC 3 examination engagements, as well as a HIPAA security compliance assessment.
The SOC 2 Type 2 examination tested the effectiveness of the Aatrix’s controls to meet the AICPA Trust Services Criteria for Security and Confidentiality over a period of time; and the SOC 3 component provided the company with a specialized report that was designed for public distribution – allowing them to more easily differentiate themselves from their competitors.
The HIPAA assessment ensured that the company follows appropriate procedures for storing, processing, and handling their clients’ electronic protected health information (ePHI) in accordance with HIPAA security rules.
These efforts demonstrate a substantially higher level of assurance and operational visibility than organizations that have not undergone these assessments. Clients who need to entrust Aatrix with their data can do so with confidence that the information will be appropriately protected.
The company launched the initiative “to provide our customers and partners with assurance of security and integrity”, explained Steven Lunseth, CEO of Aatrix.
The company chose to have all of their compliance initiatives completed by the professional and independent third-party audit firm, 360 Advanced, Inc. This integrated approach allowed Aatrix to reduce the demands on their internal team, while gaining a more cohesive evaluation of their security posture.
